I don’t know if I have done the right thing.
In fact I know I haven’t done the right thing. Somewhere along the way I came to believe that money is not important. And I guess, if I were still single, it wouldn’t be as important. However, the idea that money isn’t important is, well, a lie. It is important. It is powerful. It is useful. It is nice to have a lot of it. Get a degree that leads to a job where you will make a lot of money. If you can finagle it, get a job that doesn’t require a college degree, but you can make lots of money. Like…. Construction. Become a general contractor and build houses. You will make lots of money.
